Martin Creed
Martin Creed, born in Wakefield, UK, in 1968, was awarded the Turner Prize in 2001 for his Work No. 227: The lights are going on and off. He has exhibited in numerous important institutions, including the Kunsthalle Bern; Musée National d’Art Moderne, Paris; Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam; ACCA Melbourne; the Institute for Contemporary Art, San Francisco; and Fondazione Nicola Trussardi, Milan. Creed took part in last year’s Biennale de Lyon and his work is included in the collections of Tate, London and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. He lives in London.
