Mikael Jansson

Born in Sweden, Mikael Jansson moved from being Richard Avedon’s assistant in the mid-1980s to becoming one of the most respected and coveted photographers/directors in today’s fashion world. His editorials are featured in every major magazine, from Italian, American, French, British and Japanese Vogue, to Numéro, Dutch, Arena Homme Plus and Big Magazine. He has shot campaigns for The Gap, Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Burberry and many others. Jansson’s work has been included in many museums and gallery shows around the world. He has portrayed everyone from Swedish royalty to the king of country music Willie Nelson.
