Lee Ufan
Lee Ufan, born in Korea in 1936, studied philosophy in Tokyo and co-founded the Japanese artists’ association Monoha (School of Things) (1968–1973). He has been exhibiting his work internationally since the early 1970s. Lee has received numerous awards, including the Praemium Imperiale for painting. He lives and works in Japan and France.
