Konrad Klapheck
Konrad Klapheck was born in 1935 in Düsseldorf. Since the 1950s, his work has been exhibited widely at such institutions as the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam; the Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels; the Städtische Kunsthalle Düsseldorf; Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hamburg; the Staatsgalerie moderner Kunst, Munich; and the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn. Recent retrospectives of his work have been organized by the Musée d’art moderne et contemporain Strasbourg (2005) and the Kunsthalle Recklinghausen (2006). Klapheck continues to live and work in Düsseldorf and Paris.
