Emmet Gowin
Emmet Gowin, born 1941 in Danville, Virginia, received an MFA in photography from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1967. He is currently a professor of photography at Princeton University, where he has been teaching since 1973. Gowin is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships. His photographs have been widely exhibited and can be found in museum collections in the U.S. and abroad.
