Hannah Starkey ICA talk
Hannah Starkey is one of the most influential photographic artists working today. Her early photographs were staged scenarios based on the experiences of young women living in the city, and more recently her close observation of the urban landscape has resulted in images which capture the banality and dehumanising effects of our constructed environments. Her works have been exhibited widely, including at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, the Irish Museum of Modern Art and the Saatchi Gallery.
Hannah Starkey's upcoming new book "Photographs 1997-2007" will be the subject of an illustrated talk at the ICA, London. She will be in conversation with Dr. Lucy Soutter, Senior Lecturer in Photography at The London College of Communication, and an artist, art historian and critic.
7.30pm, Thursday 28th June
Tickets: £10 / £9 Concessions / £8 Steidl Members
