Olivier Richon

Olivier Richon was born in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1956. He studied at the Polytechnic of Central London where he was awarded a BA (Hons) first class in photographic arts in 1980 and a MPhil in 1988 on the subject of Exoticism and Representation. He taught on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in photography at Derby School of Art (1985-1993) and was MA Course Leader in Photographic Studies at the University of Westminster (1993-1997). Since 1997 he has been Course Director and then Head of Department of Photography at the Royal College of Art.
