Rosalind Solomon

Rosalind Solomon, born in Illinois in 1930, studied under Lisette Model in the 1970s and since then has travelled extensively through Italy, Guatemala, India, Mexico, South Africa, Ireland, Columbia, Peru, Nepal, Tibet and Israel. She has been awarded the Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, the American Institute of Indian Studies Fellowship and the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. Her photographs have been exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian’s American Museum of Natural History in Washington and at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Her work is also included in many international photography and art collections. Solomon lives and works in New York.
